Some of the smaller creatures

I photographed both the cottontail rabbit and the ground squirrel during the biodiversity study in the park.

Even though the larger animals, the so called "charismatic megafauna," get most of the publicity, there are far more of the little animals. Since they are so small and vulnerable, they try to stay hidden. We often see them only when we sit quietly and look for them.
