Like so many of the park animals, this coyote didn't seem too anxious to get away. As we were only about 50 yards apart, he must have known that I was there. Because of the coloring, there is some question as to just what that animal is. Everything points to a red coyote, but there is always the possibility of an escaped animal interbreeding with a grey coyote.
