Foxes

Early one morning, while driving near the Blacktail Ponds, I spotted this fox hunting. He has made his catch and, in the first photo, is trotting away, satisfied. In the 3 1/2 years that I have been visiting the park I have only seen 6 foxes and only three of them were during the day when I could take photos. All three of them were on my trip there in April 2009. They are generally nocturnal and are seldom seen much in the day. The reintroduction of the wolves seems to have helped the fox population somewhat.
